Still Life with Cat and Duck

Combining typical forms in an academic still life painting, such as a white sphere and an apple, with a realistic animal, a representational toy of an animal, and a contemporary object that holds similar texture and color to that of the apple, this piece shows the play between nature and humans. We take the imagery nature has provided us (an animal, a fruit) and produce our own interpretations of it.
